I was in Manila, Philippines watching news with one of my best friends when suddenly we saw breaking news of 9/11. It was surreal, first thought I had was to call a new friend of mine whom i met in an aesthetic conference in Japan who lives In the US... He was living in TN but it didn't really matter in my head how many hundred miles that was from NYC, I just wanted to make sure he was safe and his family and friends who may be in NYC were okay. Three years after that... I married that guy, your nephew (in RI) and now we both live happily in TN with our Anton. - Karlota Contreras-Koterbay
